Veridiana Goulart is an architect who lives and works in Brasília, informed by the landscapes of the Cerrado and Brazil’s modernist capital. Her sculptural practice engages organic abstraction through the carving of solid wood, activating latent qualities of the material and allowing unexpected forms to emerge.
Through an intensely physical, hands-on process grounded in the use of manual tools, Goulart works in close negotiation with the wood’s resistance, grain, and internal tensions. Her sculptures operate as spatial propositions, unfolding into layered compositional landscapes marked by depth, rhythm, and tactile presence.
